The lightly-raced Super Survivor and Autonomous Cloud are among 20 to have been declared for the 2023 Coral Welsh Grand National, run over 3m6½f and worth £150,000.

The Jamie Snowden-trained Super Survivor warmed up for this with a fine effort in defeat on his seasonal bow at Lingfield, while Autonomous Cloud is now seeking a hat-trick of wins aftervictories at Uttoxeter over 3m.

Mountainous is the only horse to have regained his Coral Welsh Grand National crown this century, but the 10-year-old Iwilldoit will attempt to join that exclusive club for local trainer Sam Thomas.

The Jcg Chua & I Warwick-owned Complete Unknown will look to bounce back after an underwhelming effort in the Coral Gold Cup when last seen. Nicholls will also be represented by Truckers Lodge who was finished placed in this race in two of the last three years.

Nassalam is a fascinating contender for Gary Moore, who is yet to win this contest, after producing a commanding performance to win over 2m7½f at this track.

Venetia Williams has been operating at a 39% strike-rate over the last 14 days, and she runs Chambard and Didero Vallis. The former put up a brilliant display to win the Boylesports Becher Handicap Chase at Aintree races under apprentice jockey Miss Lucy Turner, who will retain the ride. Williams has won this race twice in the past courtesy of Jocks Cross (2000) and Emperor’s Choice (2014).

The highly exciting Burdett Road, who is 2-2 since being sent hurdling, is the headline name on show in the Coral Finale Juvenile Hurdle, worth £80,000. The sole Irish representative in the race is the Gigginstown House stud-owned filly Harsh who has been declared by Joseph O’Brien.

This Grade Two contest has been won by the likes of Defi Du Seuil, Bristol De Mai and Walkonthroughout the years.

The opening race of the day takes place at 12:00pm with the eight-race card drawing to a close at 3:55pm. The ground is currently described as Good To Soft.
