Sustainability

-
Sustainability is rooted in Chepstow Racecourse’s Landscape

With the beautiful Wye Valley as our backdrop and over 270 acres of scenic land to call home, our racecourse is more than just a place to enjoy top-class racing – it’s a landmark deeply rooted in the fabric of Chepstow since 1926. As one of the most picturesque racecourses in the UK, we understand the importance of protecting the beauty and biodiversity that surrounds us.

Our commitment to sustainability is part of everything we do, both on and off track. We’re proud to lead with zero-waste practises, actively reducing landfill and maximising recycling efforts across our course. From energy efficiency behind the scenes to what’s served in your pint glass, we’re working hard to reduce our impact without compromising the experience of visiting our course.

With our versatile acres of land, we don’t just host horse races, we welcome a variety of events throughout the year. And with each one, we remain dedicated to running things responsibly, making the most of our stunning surroundings while minimising harm to them.

From our proud heritage to our forward-thinking practises, sustainability is a core part of what Chepstow Racecourse stands for.
