The historic Coral Welsh Grand National is the biggest day in Chepstow Racecourse’s calendar and is the pride of Welsh racing. This fixture attracts visitors in their thousands and some of the finest long-distance chasers to the premier racecourse in Wales.
The roll of honour of this great race carries some very special names such as Native River, Potter's Corner and last year's winner, Nassalam!
The Coral Welsh Grand National at Chepstow is always a special occasion. The excitement of the prestigious race combined with a patriotic Welsh crowd and lingering Christmas cheer ensures the perfect ingredients for a fantastic day out with friends and family.

· Roaming Brass Band: As soon as you arrive, you'll be serenaded by a fantastic roaming brass band playing live music at all entry points.

· Fan Cam: Our new Fan Cam will be wandering through the crowd, ready to showcase your brightest smiles on our huge raceday screen.
· Jockey Meet and Greet: Some lucky customers will get the chance to meet well-renowned jockeys. Who knows, you might get a selfie with a racing legend!
· Welsh Cakes: You can’t have a Welsh day without Welsh cakes! Our lovely Welsh Ladies will be handing out free Welsh cakes, so make sure you grab one!

The racecourse shuttle bus operates from Chepstow Train Station to the Racecourse via the town's bus station. The service also operates from Newport Train Station direct to the Racecourse.
