Sunday Afternoon Jump Racing

10th January Jump Racing - Kick Off 2027 with Winter Thrills at Chepstow Racecourse

Christmas is done, New Year is celebrated, so what better way to start 2027 than a big day out at the races? Mark your calendar for Sunday 10th January and round up the family and friends for an unforgettable afternoon of live jump racing at Chepstow Racecourse. As the heart of Welsh jump racing, Chepstow is the perfect place to soak up all the drama, speed and spectacle of winter racing.

After weeks of festive get-togethers, family visits and (let's be honest) a fair amount of sofa time, January is the ideal moment to get everyone out of the house and into the fresh air. Whether it's cousins who haven't caught up since Boxing Day, friends who've been promising a night out since November, or the whole family looking for something to do before the new term starts, a day at Chepstow gives you the perfect excuse to get together and start the year the right way.

Sunday's fixture promises a thrilling afternoon of top-class action, with talented jockeys and powerful racehorses battling it out over hurdles and fences. You'll hear the thunder of hooves as the runners race past the stands, feel the roar of the crowd as they jump the final fence, and see the sheer power and skill that make jump racing one of the most exciting sports around. Whether you're a dedicated racing fan or planning your very first day at the races, Chepstow offers an unbeatable mix of sporting drama, great hospitality and a buzzing atmosphere.

Warm up with hearty food and drinks from our on-course bars and restaurants, or make it a special occasion with one of our premium hospitality packages. Reunite with loved ones, catch up over a drink, have a flutter on your favourite and cheer on the runners in the South Wales countryside. It's the perfect way to shake off the January blues and start the year in style.
