Join us with family and friends in-between Christmas and New Year for our feature meeting of the year The Coral Welsh Grand National

The biggest raceday in Wales will return to Chepstow Racecourse on Thursday 27th December.

As well as 7 thrilling jump races on the card, including the biggest race in Wales, the day will be packed with Welsh themed entertainment for the entire family including singing from Chepstow Musical Youth Theatre, The Bridgend Male Voice Choir, a performance from jazz band The Hipcats in our more relaxed Wye Valley marquee, roaming Welsh lady stilt walkers and more, you may even get to see a dragon!

What's more, we have a great Tom Jones tribute after racing in our lively Bonanza Boy marquee so you can let the traffic die down after racing finishes while enjoying all the classics.

The Welsh National Anthem will be sung by international opera stars Wynne Evans and Rebecca Evans ahead of the big race, details to be released shortly.

Gates open at 10am for this meeting.

Welsh jockey James Bowen won the 2017 feature race at just 16 years old! We can't wait to see who will raise the trophy this year...

There will be plenty of food and drink outlets available on site including a variety of hot beverages from our new Cwtch Coffee shop, various bars on site and food outlets serving dishes such as BBQ pulled pork, Welsh faggots with mashed potato, roast beef, pizza and more!

Tickets are £29 in advance for this one enclosure meeting, allowing all our customers to experience the Welsh themed entertainment and atmosphere all over the racecourse - what's more, all advanced general admissions bookings will get a free return ticket to the meeting on 20th March 2019* Tickets on the day will be £34pp

You could also take advantage of our advance Pie & Pint Package which includes your Entry admission ticket, a pie, a drink (pint, glass of wine or soft drink) and a racecard for just £36.

There will be a shuttle bus running from Chepstow train station (£1 each way) and Newport train station (£5 return), the timetable will be available shortly. We also have a bus running from Bristol Temple Meads at 10am and retuning from Chepstow Racecourse at 5pm - tickets can be purchased through the ticket options below.

Relax in this newly refurbished suite and enjoy an afternoon of fantastic racing action. Hospitality Lawn Village

New for 2018 our Hospitality Lawn Village offers two marquee suites where you can enjoy the day with friends and family. Within the package you will receive; Reserved seating (shared tables of 10), Premier Admission ticket, Prosecco, tea, coffee and mini danishes on arrival followed by a one course set menu (self service), with a glass of wine or pint of beer. On arrival you will find your Race Card waiting for you to follow during the Tipster talk; with the Tipster then staying and hosting your afternoon. Entry Ticket

The Coral Welsh Grand National is a one enclosure race meeting. Entry Tickets will provide customers with access across the site, this will include the parade ring to watch the horses parading before each race, the winning line and winners enclosure. In addition to this we have plenty of bars & food outlets across the site including the Wye Valley Bar, Bonanza Boy Marquee Bar, Grandstand & Paddock Grill, Premier Bar Marquee and Cwtch Coffi - all offering a wide selection of food and beverages. As well as this we have a large variety of outdoor bars and food concessions available for use. The £29 entry ticket is our advanced booking ticket price.

Entry Ticket - Group Discount Ticket

We are pleased to offer 15% discount for group bookings of 12 or more. This admission badge allows customers access to the whole site. There is access to betting, eating and drinking outlets. Please note: This ticket can only be booked in advance when you have a group of 12 or more.

Bristol Bus Ticket

This ticket entitles you to a seat on our raceday bus which leaves Bristol Temple Meads at 10am on Thursday 27th December and returns from Chepstow Racecourse at 5pm

Dress Code

The dress code in hospitality areas and the Premier Enclosure is smart casual. Sportswear, trainers and fancy dress are not permitted. There is no dress code in the Grandstand, or when One Enclosure is in operation. Fancy dress is allowed, providing it’s decent and would not cause offence to other guests. The dress code does not apply to children under 10. Click here for more information.
