Chepstow Racecourse can confirm that, following this morning’s announcement from the Welsh Government, all upcoming fixtures will be run behind closed doors, without spectators.  This policy will include the Coral Welsh Grand National fixture, which is scheduled to take place on Monday 27 December.

All customers with ticket or hospitality bookings for the Coral Welsh Grand National will receive direct communication from the racecourse, and we would ask those with bookings to please avoid calling the office directly at this hugely busy time as the team work through this process.

Executive Director of Chepstow Racecourse, Phil Bell, said, “The Coral Welsh Grand National is one of the biggest and most popular events over the Christmas period in Wales, so we are obviously hugely disappointed that we will not be able to welcome back racing fans this year.

“The team have worked tremendously hard to over the year to prepare for the event, but we understand the decision and are in the process of contacting everyone who has booked tickets or hospitality as well as our Annual Members.  We appreciate everyone’s patience at this time, and will offer more information as and when we have it.”
