All horse racing fixtures in Wales will continue behind closed doors under review with stringent safety measures in place until further notice. Unfortunately owners will not be permitted to attend mee
With areas of the country experiencing different restrictions, dependant on the government's tiered approach to combat Covid-19 transmissions, we ask all owners to check our news page where the latest information on whether Owners are able to attend alongside any enhanced measures at Chepstow Racecourse will be available.
We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout these difficult times.
The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has affected the owners' experience, particularly in Wales.
The Welsh Government regulations allow gatherings of up to 30 people for the same purpose outside only. We are therefore having to limit the number of owners who can attend to two people.
Arrival & Timings
Owners should arrive 30 minutes before their horse is scheduled to run and leave no more than 30 minutes after the race. This minimises the risk of the racecourse reaching the 30 person limit. Face masks are required on arrival only.
Pre-registration is essential. This process will be administered by the RCA’s Privilege Access Swipe System (PASS) https://www.rcapass.com. Further information will be sent to owners when their horse is declared to run.
Local Lockdown Restrictions
Owners who live in a local lockdown area in Wales are not allowed to attend. Owners living in a local lockdown area England need to adhere to the advice given by their local authority.
We advise that you bring evidence of your home address if you are planning to come to Chepstow. Strict protocols will be in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of all owners.
Thank you for your support.
Following Welsh government guidelines, the owners' facility will be located outside, with screens to view the racing. You will also be in a position to talk to your trainer before and after the race.
As per recent government guidelines, all Owners attending Chepstow Racecourse will be required to register for NHS's Track & Trace.
QR codes will be prominently displayed at the entrance to Chepstow. Visitors will be able to use their smartphone to scan the code. This will link to the appropriate NHS site where they will be required to enter their details and receive relevant updates.
