Come and join us for top class racing at day two of the Totepool October Jumps Festival.
There are seven races at this meeting and today’s feature is the Grade Two Tote Persian War Novices’ Hurdle. Previous winners include Monsignor, Silviniaco Conti, Fingal Bay and last year by El Bandit.
Also on the card is the popular Veterans’ Chase.
The Sunday of the Jumps Festival is a one enclosure raceday. Admission starts from just £20 if booked before in advance.
All advance bookings using a credit or debit card are subject to a £2 fee – please note this is per booking not per ticket. If you have purchased a ticket well in advance, your ticket will be posted at least one week before the raceday. However, if you purchase a ticket 5 days or less before the date of the meeting, your ticket(s) will be left at the main entrance under the name in which it was booked.
Travel and Transport
Parking is free and if you’re travelling by bus or train a bus shuttle service provided by Newport Transport operates from Chepstow train station to the racecourse via the town’s bus station. The service also operates from Newport to the course from the city’s train station.
Chepstow Racecourse operates a strict smart casual dress code in its Premier Enclosure on this date. We find that race goers in this enclosure on this date like to make it a special occasion and they choose to dress accordingly.
Please be aware that trainers, t-shirts, fancy dress or sportswear are not accepted as appropriate dress in Chepstow’s Premier Enclosure.
Some “do’s” & “don’ts”:
Strictly smart shoes only (formal dress shoes)

The dress code above does not apply to children under 10 years of age.
Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure
In the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure the dress code is more relaxed; shorts and t-shirts are worn by race goers enjoying the sun. Trainers/Flip flops are fine within this enclosure.
Fancy dress is allowed at Chepstow on all days within the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure (fancy dress is not permitted within the Premier Enclosure or Hospitality at any time).
When attending an event at Chepstow Racecourse, we expect all customers in both enclosures to behave in a friendly and socially acceptable manner towards each other.
