Come and join us for top class racing on the opening day of the Totepool October Jumps Festival. This meeting represents the start of the winter jumping programme in the UK.
The feature race today is the Grade 3, Totepool Silver Trophy. Previous winners include Bradbury Star, Don’t Push It, Court Minstrel and last year by Ballyoptic.
Also, on the card is the Robert Mottram Memorial Novices’ Chase won by some smart horses over the years including Cue Card and Rock the Kasbah.
Grandstand & Paddock admission is just £22 if booked in advance and Premier tickets are £27 in booked in advance. Tickets will be an extra £2 on the day.
All advance bookings using a credit or debit card are subject to a £2 fee – please note this is per booking not per ticket. If you have purchased a ticket well in advance, your ticket will be posted at least one week before the raceday. However, if you purchase a ticket 5 days or less before the date of the meeting, your ticket(s) will be left at the main entrance under the name in which it was booked.
Travel and Transport
Parking is free and if you’re travelling by bus or train a bus shuttle service provided by Newport Transport operates from Chepstow train station to the racecourse via the town’s bus station. The service also operates from Newport to the course from the city’s train station.
Chepstow Racecourse operates a strict smart casual dress code in its Premier Enclosure on this date. We find that race goers in this enclosure on this date like to make it a special occasion and they choose to dress accordingly.
Please be aware that trainers, t-shirts, fancy dress, sportswear or swimwear are not accepted as appropriate dress in Chepstow’s Premier Enclosure.
Some “do’s” & “don’ts”:

Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure
In the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure the dress code is more relaxed; shorts and t-shirts are worn by race goers enjoying the sun. Trainers/Flip flops are fine within this enclosure.
Fancy dress is allowed at Chepstow on all days within the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure (fancy dress is not permitted within the Premier Enclosure or Hospitality at any time).
